It’s Not Too Late to Register for Acting Classes

11 02 2008

Registration for the spring semester is underway, but it is not too late to register for classes.

Have your kids ever dreamed of being a star on the big stage? Love to act, sing and dance? Then it is time to sign up for acting classes at Studio B Performing Arts Center in Highland Village. Studio B is offering a wide range of acting classes for ages 3 and up. Younger stars can take part in Nursery Rhyme Time, a 45-minute class held on Saturdays that teaches classic nursery rhymes and storytelling. Older kids might enjoy the very popular Wacky, Wild and Wonderful class for ages 7-10. This class is perfect for the beginner to the stage and focuses on basic stage techniques and character development. Those with a little more experience might want to enroll in the Murder Mystery Players, the advanced Musical Theatre class or audition for the Master’s Acting Class. All classes are held at Studio B located at 1 Nelson Parkway at 2400 FM 407 in Highland Village. Classes are 12 weeks long, with a break during spring break. All classes end in a class performance at the theater. Perhaps you have a whole group (such as a homeschool or scout group) that wants to learn a little more about acting. Studio B also offers 2 hour workshops, and “behind the scenes” tours. Call the theater at 972-966-2787 or email studiobtheater@aol.com for more information or questions about classes or workshops. Registration begins the week of February 4 and runs through February 18 (the day classes begin). You can also visit the website at www.studiobtheater.info for more information and to pay online for classes.
